The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-
D. K. Weld, trainer of Zelani (Off feed) - €200128A Roscommon Claiming M'dn
L.F. Roche, rider of Monamie, trained by Paul W. Flynn, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away.
128B Irish EBF Auction Series M'dnThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Magma Law (GB) trained by Joseph G. Murphy was a gelding and not a colt as shown on the passport presented. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards, pursuant to the provisions of Rule 148 (xii), fined Joseph G. Murphy €130 on this occasion.
J.A. Heffernan, rider of Magma Law (GB), trained by Joseph G. Murphy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount spooked when the gates opened and was slowly away.
C.D. Hayes, rider of Penny Benjamin, trained by Noel Meade, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away.
128C Knockcroghery H'capJ. Kearney, rider of Royal Impact, trained by Jack W. Davison, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slow away.
Adam Caffrey, rider of Zabriskie Point (GB), trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left up the straight.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Royal Impact, trained by Jack W. Davison, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
128E Connolly's RED MILLS H'capThe Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages of this race involving Sir Jeremy, ridden by C.T. Keane, and Oust (GB), ridden by R.P. Cleary, where it appeared there was contact between the two. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. C. T. Keane stated that there was room when he went for the gap and there was minor contact. R. P. Cleary stated that there was plenty of room when the horse coming through brushed off his mount. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
128F Abbey Hotel H'capThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Musashi, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
N.M. Crosse, rider of Tenacious, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount lost its action down the back but regained it but the race was over.
The Raceday Stewards requested a report from M.D. O'Callaghan, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Adel (GER), placed first, as compared with its recent form. Eddie Dempsey, Representative for the trainer concerned stated that the step up in trip may have contributed to the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the explanation given. Furthermore, the Raceday Stewards, pursuant to the provisions of Rule 147(v), fined M. D. O'Callaghan €130 for failing to lodge the appropriate form appointing an Authorised Representative at this meeting.
128G Racing Again Here On June 8th H'capThe Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the home straight involving Amplitude, ridden by G.F. Carroll, Obscenity, ridden by D. Browne McMonagle, and Out On Friday, ridden by W. Joyce where it appeared Out On Friday ran short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. G. F. Carroll stated that his mounts hind end was hit turning him inwards. D. Browne McMonagle stated that he was on the rail and waiting to see if a gap appeared. W. Joyce stated that his race was run and he had to take a check. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
128H Roscommon H'capThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Prom Queen, trained by Anthony McCann, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
